How To Enrol
When you contact the school, please ask for Kathleen Dooley who handles enrolment enquiries, or you are welcome to email us at email@example.com
Please contact the Principal Kathleen Dooley, or the Deputy Principal Pat Weston to discuss enrolment procedures.
Parents and caregivers are welcome to visit the school and the satellites when they are deciding school placement for their special needs children. Personnel from other schools, specialists and RTLB staff are also welcome to visit when determining appropriate placement for students on their case list or currently enrolled in their school.
When the enrolment has been signed, our school Transition Co-ordinator Margaret Quinn will liaise between Mt Richmond , parents/caregivers and current school or facility and organise the transition of the new student into his/her new class. A student may begin on a set date or have an opportunity to visit the class for set times over a number of weeks as part of a more lengthy transition period.
Unless students live very close to the school and have the ability to walk to their satellite class or the base, a Transport Application will be made to the Ministry of Education for Ministry funded transport provision in either a taxi or a Total Mobility Vehicle. The cost of this is met by the Ministry of Education unless there are circumstances where parents may be required to assist financially because of an out of zone enrolment. Cases for transport subsidy are determined on an individual basis.
